Pete Edochie has revealed that he played a spiritual role in the success of six Nigerian politicians during the 2023 general elections.
The veteran actor made this known while hosting popular streamer Peller at his residence in Enugu.
According to Edochie, the politicians visited him ahead of the elections, seeking prayers and support.
“They came to my house with a big ram and kolanuts. I prayed for them, and all of them won their elections,” the 78-year-old said.
Reflecting on the experience, the Nollywood icon expressed gratitude, attributing the outcomes to what he described as a divine gift.
“It is something I thank God for every day. Whenever I make a request, He grants it. Everyone I have prayed for has succeeded exactly in what I asked for them,” he added.
His comments come shortly after he voiced concerns over Nigeria’s rising cost of living, revealing that he spends about ₦40,000 daily on electricity and fuel.
Edochie also questioned the worsening economic conditions, expressing frustration over what he sees as a lack of progress.
“Nobody seems to care about the struggles of the common man. Why does it keep getting worse? Can things not improve?” he said.
