Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening security and delivering impactful projects across the state.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Idris, the governor expressed gratitude for the opportunity to witness the holy month, praising the devotion of the faithful to prayer, sacrifice, and self-discipline.
He commended residents for their resilience and continued support, noting that his administration has recorded notable progress in critical sectors such as education, infrastructure, agriculture, and economic empowerment.
Highlighting recent interventions, Idris pointed to the distribution of Ramadan palliatives and dry season farming inputs as part of efforts to ease economic hardship. He described the initiative as both timely and significantly expanded compared to previous years.
On security, the governor reassured citizens of ongoing efforts to protect lives and property through strengthened collaboration with security agencies. He revealed that hundreds of youth volunteers are currently undergoing training by a joint team comprising personnel from the military, police, Department of State Services, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to support the state’s security framework.
Idris also acknowledged the contributions of traditional rulers, Islamic scholars, All Progressives Congress stakeholders, civil servants, and non-governmental organisations in advancing government policies and programmes.
He pledged to sustain the pace of development, promising more people-focused initiatives aimed at improving the overall well-being of residents in Kebbi State.
