Eid al-Fitr: ADC Urges Nigerians to Embrace Faith, Resilience

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on Nigerians to draw strength from faith, sacrifice and resilience as Muslims mark the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

In a goodwill message, signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the values observed during the holy month of Ramadan should inspire unity, compassion and a renewed commitment to national development despite ongoing challenges in the country.

The ADC added that the season serves as a reminder that hope can prevail even in difficult times.

“The season is a reminder that even in the most challenging times, faith, sacrifice, and resilience can restore our confidence in a better tomorrow,” the statement said.

The party noted that many families across Nigeria are currently facing economic and social difficulties, but emphasised that the lessons of Ramadan highlight perseverance, compassion and unity as key to overcoming hardship.

“As we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month, may the values of discipline, generosity, and devotion guide us toward building a more just, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria for all,” the statement added.

The ADC also reaffirmed its commitment to a future where citizens can live with dignity, security and opportunity, while extending Eid greetings to Nigerians across the country.
