A New York based organization of the United Nations ‘Best Diplomat Simulation’ has nominated Miss Face of Culture Africa, Manyi Affangha, to represent Nigeria in New York.
The upcoming event will showcase young leaders and change makers chosen to discuss on “strategies For Mitigating Climate Change.”
Miss Manyi Affangha, from Akamkpa LGA, Southern Senatorial District , Cross River State, south south Nigeria crowned in November, 2020.
The 26yrs old Queen visited the Cross River State Deputy Governor Rt Hon. Peter Odey in Calabar.
The visit was to informed him of her nomination to represent Nigeria the upcoming Best Diplomat Simulation in New York.
For instance, she highlighted advocacy programs she earlier carried out for people with special needs.
She said the former Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Mrs Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, sponsored the program.
Also, the Miss Face of Culture Africa, said she has carried out an outreach to Lugbe Secondary School Abuja, where she paid fees and distributed school materials to students.
In addition, she visited Destiny Orphanage Kado and maternity ward of Police Hospital in Calabar, donated items to nursing mothers.
Miss Manyi Affangha intimated the Deputy Governor that since she was crowned a queen an extra year has been added to her reign.
“I am seeing the nomination as an opportunity to show case the natural and ecological endowment of Cross River state.”
Also, “it is an opportunity for me to invite investors to the state,” said Queen Manyi.
Meanwhile, the Cross River State Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu has assured Cross Riverians of his administration’s support to export the cultural and ecological endowment of our beautiful state to the world.
He spoke through his deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey who received the reigning queen Face of Culture Africa, Miss Manyi Affangha.
Odey welcomed the queen home and applauded her for representing the state at the Federal level.
He also lauded her for thinking Cross River State as she goes to represent Nigeria in New York.
