In the heat of the campaign for the forthcoming Edo State 2024 gubernatorial election, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Asue Ighbodalo, has vehemently denied any affiliation with Plan-well, dismissing such claims as mischievous attempts to derail his candidacy.

Addressing the media, Dr. Ighbodalo categorically stated that he has absolutely nothing to do with Plan-well, and any insinuations suggesting otherwise are baseless and intended to distract him from his quest to lead Edo State.

The Plan-well controversy surfaced recently, with some individuals alleging connections between Dr. Ighbodalo and the organization. However, the gubernatorial candidate refuted these claims, emphasizing that he has always conducted his affairs with integrity and transparency.

“It is unfortunate that certain elements are resorting to such underhanded tactics to tarnish my image and derail my campaign,” Dr. Ighbodalo remarked.

“I want to make it unequivocally clear that I have no involvement whatsoever with Plan-well. These accusations are nothing but a desperate attempt to smear my reputation.”

Dr. Ighodalo urged the public to focus on the real issues at hand, stressing his commitment to addressing the pressing concerns facing Edo State, including infrastructural development, healthcare, education, and job creation.

“We need to move beyond these distractions and concentrate on the future of Edo State,” he asserted. “My vision for our state is one of progress, prosperity, and inclusive governance. I remain undeterred by these baseless accusations and remain fully committed to serving the people of Edo State with honesty and dedication.”
