The Organised Labour has paused the nationwide strike for five days to facilitate continuous discussions with the tripartite committee regarding the new national minimum wage.
Following a productive session with government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, Labour leaders are optimistic about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to a minimum wage exceeding N60,000.
Truth Live News gathered that both sides have agreed to daily meetings over the next week to finalize the new wage.
Today’s suspension of the strike occurred during a meeting with the FG Tripartite Committee, prompting the reopening of all government and private offices for normal operations.
