Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor after just six weeks in charge, the club has confirmed.
Tudor, who replaced Thomas Frank in February, failed to win any of his five Premier League matches, recording one draw and four defeats during his short spell.
In a statement posted on X, the club said:
“We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect.”
They added:
“Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci, have also left their respective roles of goalkeeping coach and physical coach.”
“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly.”
Tottenham also confirmed that a replacement will be announced soon, stating:
“An update on a new head coach will be provided in due course.”
Tudor’s 44-day spell now ranks among the shortest managerial tenures in Premier League history.
His departure comes shortly after Spurs suffered a 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, a result that left the club hovering just above the relegation zone with seven matches remaining this season.
The club also acknowledged a personal loss suffered by Tudor, saying:
“We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.”
Assistant coach Bruno Saltor is expected to take charge of training on an interim basis while the club searches for a new manager.
Among the names being considered are Roberto De Zerbi and Sean Dyche.
Meanwhile, supporters have urged the club to make a careful appointment. The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust called for a manager “we can all be proud of and who can bring some much-needed success and enjoyment to our long-suffering fanbase.”
