Osarodion Ogie, the PDP deputy governorship candidate for the Edo 2024 election, on Sunday, visited Ologbo in Ward 10, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, to receive the traditional blessings of the Enogie of Ologbo.
Ogie, who is from Ikpoba-Okha, expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support from the people of Ologbo. He said he feels at home in the community and appreciates their loyalty.
The Enogie of Ologbo, HRH Owen Jason Akenzua, praised Ogie for his significant contributions to the development of Ologbo, including social, economic, and infrastructure improvements.
He assured Ogie of the community’s full support in the upcoming September election, extending his blessings to the PDP/Asue-Ogie team. The Enogie expressed confidence that the Asue-Ogie administration would bring considerable benefits to Edo State and encouraged cross-cultural support for the team.
Ogie thanked the Enogie for maintaining peace and progress in the area, pledging that the government will continue to work with the community to boost its development. He added that the incoming Asue-Ogie administration, if successful, would build on existing achievements for the benefit of Ologbo, Ikpoba-Okha, and Edo State.
In a related visit, Ogie also met with Chief Johnson Atseleghe, the Iyatsere of Warri and leader of the Itsekiri community in Edo. Chief Atseleghe praised Ogie for his dedication to the development of riverine communities in Ologbo and assured him of strong support from these areas in the September election. He emphasized that Ogie has earned their backing through his numerous contributions.
Ogie thanked Chief Atseleghe for his leadership and promised that the Asue-Ogie administration would prioritize the development of riverine areas if elected.
The visit to Ologbo further reinforced the community’s strong political support for the PDP/Asue-Ogie team, with many viewing the September 21 election as a pivotal moment for the party.
Accompanying Ogie were key figures such as Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, the State Director General of the PDP Campaign Council, Dr. Eric Osayande, Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, and others, all showing their support for the campaign. The people of Ologbo have made it clear that they are fully behind Ogie and view the upcoming election as a crucial movement for the PDP/Asue-Ogie team.
