INEC Has Chosen the Path of Dishonour, Can No Longer Be Trusted — David Mark

The National chairman of the African democratic Congress(ADC) Sen. David Mark has criticised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), labelling them to have chosen the path of dishonour and cannot longer be trusted.

The head of the ADC national working committee, Senator Mark made this call in Abuja during the party’s international press briefing following the illegal denouncement of it’s National Working committee by INEC.

Senator mark noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is striving to create a situation were president Tinubu will be the only option on the ballot in 2027 for the Nigerian citizens.

According to him, INEC has shown it’s lack of trust by jumping the gun to make an improper interpretation of the appeal court ruling on the fuzz about the leadership of the National Working committee, when the court made a pronouncement on the case calling on all factions to maintain ” status quo Ante bellum”.

” INEC is pretending to be confused as to what status quo Ante bellum means and therefore cannot longer be a viable instrument to conduct a free, fair and credible election”, he said.

In the meantime the leadership of the ADC has said INEC does not have the power to decide for any party who is to spearhead the affairs of any political party as their role is simply to monitor conduct of political parties affairs.
