Nigerian influencer Blessing CEO has responded to criticism over her public appeal for funds to cover her cancer treatment.
The internet personality revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2026 and sought financial assistance from the public to prepare for surgery. Some questioned the request, suggesting it might be misleading.
Speaking during an Instagram live session with radio host Daddy Freeze, Blessing explained that she asked for help in advance to be financially prepared, despite not knowing the full cost of the procedure.
She added that her surgery was initially scheduled for last week but was postponed because of the live session. Additional medical tests and post-operative care are expected to increase expenses, prompting her to reach out early.
“I asked for financial assistance because I need funds for the surgery, even though I don’t yet know the exact cost. After the mastectomy, further tests will still be needed to ensure the cancer hasn’t spread,” she said.
“I wanted to prepare ahead of time rather than asking for help at a moment when I might be more vulnerable.”
Blessing clarified that the exact cost of the surgery remains uncertain, which is why she has not specified an amount in her appeal.
Truth Live News International will continue to provide verified updates on her condition and treatment.
