Carrie Everett, who held the title of Miss North Carolina 2024, has died at the age of 22 following a battle with cancer, her family has confirmed.
According to a statement released by her family, Everett passed away on Easter Sunday, surrounded by loved ones. The family described her final moments as peaceful, with friends and relatives gathered to support her.
Everett was also a student at North Carolina Central University, where she was known for her academic dedication and vibrant personality.
