The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it has successfully concluded the registration process for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with a total of 2,030,627 candidates registered.
This number excludes candidates who registered at foreign centers.
The registration process, which began on February 3, 2025, and ended on March 8, 2025, saw a significant number of candidates sign up for the examination, scheduled to take place on April 25, 2025.
Additionally, 200,115 candidates have expressed interest in taking the optional mock UTME, slated for April 5, 2025.
With registration now closed, JAMB has intensified efforts to maintain the integrity of the examination by implementing stricter security measures.
These measures have already led to the arrest of multiple candidates attempting to gain admission using forged A-level results.
JAMB has cautioned candidates against engaging in any form of malpractice, emphasizing that strict monitoring systems are in place to detect and penalize fraud.
