CROSS RIVER, CALABAR – In a decisive move to enhance education within Calabar Municipality, the Chairman of Calabar Municipal Council, Apostle James Anam, has launched a school needs assessment and free book support initiative across 24 primary schools.

The first phase of the program commenced with visits to three schools, aiming to identify pressing challenges and provide immediate interventions.

The initiative underscores the council’s commitment to improving learning conditions and ensuring equitable access to education.

Apostle Anam was joined by key government officials, including Vice Chairman Pastor Okon Nyong, Head of Local Government Affairs Mrs. Ekanem Henshaw, Director of General Services and Administration Princess Oma Bassey Edim, as well as Legislative Council leaders and education stakeholders.

Commitment to Education and Student Welfare
