Ecobank Nigeria has announced plans to host the 2026 edition of Ecobank Adire Lagos, a cultural and fashion event aimed at promoting African textiles and creativity.
The announcement was made on April 23, 2026, as the bank unveiled plans for the multi day event scheduled to hold from June 11 to June 14 in Lagos. The programme is expected to bring together designers, entrepreneurs and creatives from across the continent to celebrate the richness of African fashion.
Organisers say the initiative is designed to spotlight adire, the traditional indigo dyed fabric widely associated with southwestern Nigeria, while also creating opportunities for small businesses and emerging designers to connect with broader markets.
According to Ecobank, the event will feature exhibitions, runway shows, panel discussions and networking sessions focused on innovation, sustainability and the global potential of African fashion.
Industry stakeholders note that platforms such as Ecobank Adire Lagos are becoming increasingly important in positioning local fabrics within the global fashion industry, as demand for culturally inspired designs continues to grow.
The event is also expected to attract fashion enthusiasts, investors and members of the public, further boosting Lagos’ reputation as a hub for creative arts and commerce in Africa.
Ecobank Adire Lagos forms part of the bank’s broader commitment to supporting the creative industry and empowering small and medium scale enterprises across the continent.
