Despite two more years into 2027 general elections in the country, the Edo State governor, Monday Okpebholo has begun championing the campaign of President Bola Tinubu.

He said Tinubu will win the presidential election in the state because he is more popular than himself and should he fails, he will resign.

The governor made the remark in an interview captured in a viral video.

He vowed to resign if the president did not win the 2027 election in Edo State.

While citing the various projects his administration has executed since the All Progressives Congress, (APC), took over the state in 2024, Governor Okpebholo stressed that the entire people in Edo State are ready to vote for president Tinubu.

He further said that there is no opposition in the state, adding that everyone is supporting the ruling party ahead of the 2027 elections.APC party merchandise
