Nigerian hip-hop star Ice Prince has revealed that he remains hesitant about marriage, citing concerns over the challenges and disappointments he has witnessed in many relationships.
Speaking during a recent interview, the award-winning rapper explained that watching couples separate shortly after tying the knot has made him increasingly cautious about taking that step himself.
According to the 39-year-old musician, the emotional and financial pressures surrounding weddings have also contributed to his reluctance. He noted that several people in his circle often seek financial assistance to fund marriage ceremonies, a trend he finds troubling.
Despite his reservations, the rapper did not completely rule out marriage. He suggested that he may revisit the idea in the future, particularly after reaching the age of 40.
Ice Prince pointed to examples of respected figures in his life who chose to marry later in life, saying their experiences have influenced his perspective on relationships and timing.
Beyond marriage, the entertainer disclosed that he has other personal ambitions he hopes to pursue in the coming years. Among them are returning to formal education and establishing a farm, projects he considers important for his next phase of life.
He added that his priorities are gradually shifting away from constant music releases and toward personal development and long-term investments.
For now, the rapper says he is focused on achieving those goals while taking his time before making any major decisions about marriage.
