Don Peter Ojemen Advocates Greater Investment, Economic Prosperity In South-South

Notable Niger Delta. investor and political leader, High Chief Peter Ojemen, fondly known as Chief Don P. Ojemen, has stressed the need for accelerated regional development, sustainable economic growth, and a brighter future for the Niger Delta region.

He made this call during a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali.

Speaking during the meeting, Chief Don P. Ojemen said the visit was aimed at discussing key issues affecting the Niger Delta, particularly regional development, economic advancement, and strategies for securing the region’s future prosperity.

“The purpose of the meeting is to ensure growing collaboration between key stakeholders across the Niger-Delta region in pursuit of peace, economic development, investment opportunities and greater regional integration.”

He appealed to the National Chairman of PANDEF to create an enabling environment for sustained dialogue and collective action towards advancing the interests and prosperity of the Nigeria Delta people.

In his remarks, the National Chairman of PANDEF welcome the august visitors and his entourage stating that PANDEF is an apex socio-political organization that represents the interests of the people of the South-South geopolitical zone in Nigeria.

According to him, “PANDEF advocates for the development, resource control, and equitable treatment of the Niger Delta region.”

He disclosed that the leadership of the group is comprised of prominent Niger Delta elders, traditional rulers, and political leaders, with elder statesman Chief Edwin Clark serving as a notable leader.

He said that the forum actively pushes for true federalism, the completion of regional infrastructure (like the East-West Road), and the resolution of regional and national political disputes.

Also present at the meeting were HRH Anabs Sara-Igbe, Member of the Board of Trustees of PANDEF, and Prince Maikpobi Okarenwe, Chairman of PANDEF in Delta State.
