CROSS RIVER, CALABAR – Football coaches in Cross River State are set for a three-day capacity-building course designed to strengthen coaching methods, tactical and technical development and youth football practices.
The Empowering Coaches Course for a Stronger African Football is scheduled to hold from October 15 to 17, 2026, in Cross River State.
The programme is being organized by the Football Coaches Association of Africa Nations (FCAAN) and Top Youth Football Academy, in conjunction with the Cross River State Football Association and the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Cross River State Chapter.
According to the programme details, the course will expose participating coaches to modern coaching methodologies, with emphasis on improving their technical and tactical understanding of the game.
Participants are also expected to receive training on youth football best practices, alongside opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing with other football coaches.
The organisers are positioning the programme around the principle that “Better Coaches Build Better Players,” with the course aimed at strengthening coaches as part of efforts to improve football development.
The three-day programme will also provide participants with a Certificate of Participation, while registration is listed at ₦85,000.
