Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday declared that “the whole country is very proud of how President Tinubu was honoured and buried,” leaving many Nigerians stunned and demanding clarification.
The gaffe occurred during a Special valedictory session for late former President Muhammadu Buhari at the Senate Chamber.
In a bizarre twist, he mistakenly said Tinubu had been “buried,” sparking immediate backlash and speculation.
“The whole country is very proud of how President Tinubu was honoured… and buried,” Akpabio stated, before quickly trying to correct himself, replacing “Tinubu” with “Buhari”.
