Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has approved N5 million reward for each player and technical crew member of Kwara United football club following their win in the 2025 President Federation Cup.
The Harmony Boys defeated Abakaliki FC 4-3 on penalties in the final of the competition in June.
It is the first time Kwara United has won the oldest football competition in Nigeria.
As part of their reward, Kwara United will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
Governor Abdulrazaq’s gesture will boost the team’s morale as they aim to win more silverware in the upcoming campaign.
The governor praised the players, coaching crew, management, and supporters’ club for their dedication and commitment.
The preliminary draw for the CAF Confederation Cup will hold this month.
