Bayelsa Gov, 19 Assembly members Quit PDP

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

 

Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Daniel Alabrah revealed this in a terse post on Facebook on Wednesday.

 

Alabrah said the governor resigned alongside 19 members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

 

However, he did not state the governor’s next political destination.

 

The development comes days after Enugu governor, Dr Peter Mbah quit the PDP and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
