Southampton are closing in on a deal to sign Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo, according to The Athletic.
Aribo is in the final year of his contract at Ibrox and is said to have turned down an extension.
Rangers are unwilling to sell the Nigerian international for less than £10 million under his contract.
Another Premier League club is known to be in talks with Rangers, but Southampton is said to be the frontrunner.
Aribo, who is poised to sign a four-year deal with Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side, is said to be interested in joining the Saints.
The former Charlton Athletic player was supposed to meet the rest of the Rangers squad in Portugal on Thursday, but he did not show up as he’s currently in London.
