The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reeled out the complete list of referees and Video Assistant Referees for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations but no single Nigerian was shortlisted.
CAF included 28 centre referees and 14 VAR officials.
Host nation Morocco, Algeria, Egypt and Mauritania provided two centre referees.
Algeria’s Lahlou Benbraham, Egypt’s Mahmoud Ashour, Tunisia’s Haythem Guirat, Morocco’s Hamza El Fariq, and Senegal’s Djibril Camara are among the VAR officials who will go to Morocco.
The tournament will begin on December 21, 2025 and ends on January 18, 2026.
Morocco’s first game will be against the Comoros on Sunday, December 21 in Rabat.
