Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about the emotional toll of being separated from her children, accusing their father, Senator Ned Nwoko, of deliberately exposing them to public scrutiny and pursuing legal actions aimed at keeping her away from them.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Daniels accompanied the post with a lengthy caption in which she described the pain of motherhood interrupted, noting that no mother can truly be at peace while separated from her children. She said although many people may assume she is happy, the reality has been deeply distressing, adding that it took her time to walk away because she refused to allow the pain to “define or imprison” her.
The actress alleged that her estranged partner, whom she described as a public figure with legislative experience, has repeatedly posted their children publicly, a move she claimed was a deliberate attempt to attract negative attention and media scrutiny rather than an act of parental responsibility.
Daniels said she initially chose to remain silent to avoid escalating the matter in the media but felt compelled to speak out due to what she described as continued provocation. She claimed the last time she spoke with her children was in mid-November, alleging that their father dismissed her nannies and pressured them into making false statements accusing her of violence and alcohol abuse in the presence of the children.
According to her, despite already having the children in his care, he has since filed for full custody. Daniels questioned whether she truly posed such a threat as to warrant what she described as aggressive actions against her.
Emphasising her commitment to motherhood, the actress said she enjoys being a mother and deeply misses her children. She also vowed to fight for them, stating that she would definitely see them again soon.
As of the time of filing this report, Senator Nwoko has not publicly responded to the allegations raised by Regina.
