Information available to Truth Live News International from Benin City indicates that a group of persons, allegedly associated and instructed by the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, have dragged, stripped and humiliated Dr Don Pedro, the brother of the immediate past governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki, before the Palace of the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II.
Many videos that have gone viral show where Don Pedro was stripped naked and dragged to the Oba palace, while a group of individuals were seen and heard chanting songs.
The group alleged that Pedro had insulted the monarch; therefore, he had to be taught a lesson.
However, the actions of those individuals have started generating comments from citizens, with many condemning the act, stating that it is very humiliating and not befitting of a revered leader like the Oba.
