The Abia State governor Mr. Alex Otti says by September 1, 2023 he will change Treasury to Single Account (TSA) system.
Otti, announced the plan via his official twitter handle after a recent town-hall meeting with the state’s transport unions and market leaders.
The governor in what he described as “Transition to a Treasury Single Account” said the change was necessary for the benefits of their new digital tax system.
He said “This move will centralize all state revenue and payments, enhancing transparency and efficiency.”
“This system will fight fraud, streamline tax payments, empower our citizens, generate employment and attract investors.”
“I urge all stakeholders to embrace this shift, knowing it is in the best interest of Abia State and its people,” Otti said.
