Residents of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, are currently buying foodstuffs and other household items in a hurry and in bulk as many were notified through WhatsApp messages that some armed men were seen on bikes trooping into the city, unchecked and unresisted.
Following the two terrorists attacks at the Bwari-Kubwa and Zuba axis which seem to have occurred without any resistance from security personnel, residents have become agitated and scared to stay in crowded places like markets for too long.
Some residents who anonymously spoke to truthlive.net correspondents in the Duste Makaranta area, noted that since the government have failed to protect them, they are making personal efforts to secure themselves.
Many noted that soon, there may be a state of emergency call, so they are shopping in bulk, so they do not go stranded.
Shoppers at the popular Dutse market where seen hurriedly buying their items, to avoid being caught up in any terrorists attack.
A few who spoke hurriedly said they were told not to go to markets, mosques and churches because the attack is imminent.
Further survey of the area by our correspondent revealed that security agents have been mounted in strategic points like the Sokale roundabout, Tipper garage junction and Bwari bridge, all in the metropolis.
