A devastating road accident along the Damaturu–Maiduguri highway in Yobe State claimed seven lives on Tuesday, leaving several others injured, sources confirmed to Zagazola Makama.
The crash involved a commercial vehicle bound for Maiduguri that lost control and somersaulted, according to eyewitness accounts. Local residents and good Samaritans swiftly intervened, evacuating victims to a nearby hospital.
Hospital sources reported that seven passengers were confirmed dead on arrival, while those injured are receiving treatment, with some in critical condition.
