Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has extended the curfew imposed on warring communities in the state to Erin-Osun town in Ifon-Orolu local government council area.
This decision comes after the escalation of the crisis between Ilobu and Ifon communities, which has resulted in three deaths and millions of Naira in property damage.
The curfew, which was initially 12 hours, has been increased to 24 hours daily until further notice.
Governor Adeleke has directed all security agencies, including the Military, Nigeria Police, and Amotekun, to extend their security surveillance to the community and ensure strict compliance with the curfew.
The governor expressed dissatisfaction over the resurgence of the crisis and assured that perpetrators will face the wrath of the law.
He urged everyone to imbibe the ethos of Omoluabi and shun communal crisis, embracing peaceful co-existence instead.
