Gunmen Allegedly Kill UBA Manager After Collecting N8m Ransome In Edo

A Union Bank manager, Igueben branch, Mr John Otobo, has been allegedly killed by gunmen after reportedly paying N8 million ransome to them.

Reports said the deceased was kidnapped a few days ago between Ugbegun and Uromi, while on his way home from work.

In one of their reports on Friday Abuja Reporters said that details of the incident are still sketchy.

The paper also said that at the time of filing the report, it gathered that his body was found in the bush after N8 million ransome payment.

Moreso, a member of the community, Odion Humphrey, reportedly confirmed the sad news in a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

Truth Live News learned that in the post the entire Udo community said goodbye to Mr. John Otobo, the Branch Manager Union Bank Igueben.

Accordingly, “You will forever remain in our heart. As for your killer, may they never know peace all the days of their lives.”

They prayed Almighty God to grant him eternal rest.

Nevertheless, Humphrey wrote: “May ur soul and the souls of every other faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen.”
