Popular microblogging site Twitter on Friday suspended the account belonging to renowned United States rapper, Kanye West over what it described as a “violence-inciting tweet”.

Earlier, West had posted a number of erratic tweets, one of which seemed to display a symbol combining a swastika and a Jewish star.

This comes barely two months after he was reinstated on the platform in October following his earlier suspension.

Twitter’s new CEO, Elon Musk tweeted on Thursday evening, “I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.”

Meanwhile, a tweep who called attention of Musk to the tweet asked him to ‘fix Kanye’.

About an hour after Musk’s tweet, West’s account known as ‘Ye’ on the microblogging site was suspended.

Truth Live News recalls that clothing giant Adidas and others had cut ties with the rapper over a series of anti-Semitic and racist remarks in recent months.
