Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has unveiled plans for the maiden Made-In-Akwa Ibom State Trade Fair to mark its 36th anniversary.
Governor Eno, In furtherance of his entreprenural development drive, announced this at the Government House Monthly Prayer Service held at the Government House Latter House Chapel, Uyo.
While explaining that his government is determined to encourage entrepreneurship and to get the young people meaningfully engaged, he said the trade fair will kick off on September 23, at the Ibom e – Library grounds to showcase locally- made products.
Hinting on laying more emphasis on showcasing, encouraging and developing skills of Akwa Ibom people, the Governor used the occasion to announce plans to suspend some of the fanfares which often characterizes state anniversary celebration.
He noted that the former e – library is undergoing a conversion to Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Centre to create a platform where young entrepreneurs can be groomed and mentored.
He also toured the facility shortly after his visit to the Federal College of Education, Ididep in Ibiono Ibom LGA and expressed satisfaction at the state of preparedness for the take-off of the centre.

The state executive admonished everyone to follow the government with patience as efforts is made to ensure the greater good for the generality of Akwa Ibom people rather than a privileged few.
Earlier in his exhortation, the General Overseer of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle John Okoriko admonished Christians on the imperative of having faith in Jesus, the Author and Finisher.
On the theme, “Jesus the Author and Finisher,” Okoriko prayed Akwa Ibom people to keep faith in Jesus and continually pray for the state and its leaders to actualize their development plans.
Highpoints were praises, worship, ministrations by different choirs and prayer sessions.
