The United States chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has secured permission from the Department of Interior to stage a protest against groups calling for the cancellation of the results of the February 25, presidential election.
Truth Live News had reported that Nigerians in resident in US had secured the permission of the US Department of Interior in order to stage a protest against the declaration of the APC candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as president-elect.
Same date and venue was approved for both groups to protest their grievances.
The protest according to its convener, Adeleke Lamoriyv is aimed at demonstrating against anti-democracy to overturn 2023 general election.
The protests is scheduled to hold on April 3, 2023 at Lafayette Park, Southwest Quadrant with at least 100 participants.
APC called for the help of US president, Joe Biden to easy transition.
Truth Live News reports that since the announcement of the APC candidate, Tinubu as President-elect, there has been several calls by individuals and groups who alleged foul play in the election process and results declaration.
