In a press conference recently Arch. Bishop JohnPraise Daniel addressed the nation, affirming the recent Supreme Court decision that upheld the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He began by acknowledging the vital role of the press in keeping the public informed and thanked journalists for their dedication.

The Arch. Bishop commended the Supreme Court’s judgment, stating that it showcased the strength, transparency, and integrity of the Nigerian judiciary system. He emphasized that this decision went beyond politics, serving as a testament to the will of the people.

The National Deputy President of PFN called for unity, emphasizing that the Supreme Court’s decision transcended party lines and political allegiances. He urged Nigerians, regardless of their political leanings, to unite and support President Tinubu’s administration.

Archbishop Daniel, who also doubles as Chairman Northern Coalition of Bishops & Apostles, commended the petitioners, Mallam Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi, for their commitment to due process and for resorting to the judiciary to resolve election disputes. He encouraged them to view the Supreme Court’s verdict as the divine will of God.

Addressing the challenges facing Nigeria, particularly job creation, insecurity, and the economy, the Arch. Bishop acknowledged the fuel crisis and rising food prices. He praised President Tinubu for his palliative initiatives but stressed that more needed to be done. He called for increased support of homegrown products to strengthen the economy and alleviate the people’s suffering.

Arch. Bishop Daniel welcomed the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Mr. Wike, to Abuja, praising his transformative works in the capital and urging him to remain dedicated to fulfilling the President’s mandate.

On the international front, he made a heartfelt plea to world leaders regarding the tensions between Israel and Hamas, calling for immediate efforts toward ceasefire, dialogue, and understanding.
