Mrs. Nonye Soludo, the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, has reiterated her belief in love as the most effective way for humanity to thrive together.
In a message released in Awka to mark both Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day, Mrs. Soludo explained that humanity should embrace the principal ideals of love to achieve peace and development.
Highlighting Ash Wednesday’s call to compassion, she stressed that love is essential for a fulfilling life, citing Jesus Christ as the ultimate example of impactful living.
Mrs. Soludo viewed the coincidence of Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day this year as significant, underscoring the supremacy of love in divine directives.
She urged reflection on the true essence of both occasions and cautioned against any misuse of their significance.
Encouraging spiritual reconnection with God and fellow humans during Lent, she called for prayers for Nigeria’s improvement.
Additionally, Mrs. Soludo urged the people of Anambra to pray for the state’s advancement, unity, and peace, emphasizing that building a better Anambra is a collective responsibility.
She extended heartfelt Valentine’s Day wishes to all Anambra residents, urging them to focus on love’s constructive power rather than the destructive nature of hate.
