Seven-Day Ultimatum In Cross River State Heightens Labour Tension

Organised Labour in Cross River State has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the state government, threatening an indefinite strike over unresolved labour and welfare issues.
The ultimatum, jointly signed by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress, follows months of failed engagements with the state government.
Labour leaders accused the government of sustained silence, policy reversals, and actions they described as provocative and capable of destabilising industrial harmony statewide.
