Auto Crash Kills Roadside Food Vendors, Others In Calabar

At least three persons have been killed including a woman roadside food vendor specializing on roasted chicken, plantains, and potatoes.

Eyewitnesses reported that a female passerby and a man who sat in a joint were also killed in the Crash.

The accident which occurred on Wednesday on IBB Way by CUDA, opposite Margaret Ekpo International Airport field was caused by brakes failure.

Truth Live News gathered that a Ford Edge vehicle with registration number: LSR980FU Lagos, pulled down a concrete signboard and dragged the victims against a fence.

It was also gathered that a red spider Toyota Camry XLE with plate number RSH271TU, Abuja was ramped onto by the failed brake Ford.

At the time of filing this report, the woman driver had been taken into safety to avert mob actions before she was taken away to an unknown destination.

The casualties were taken to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
