Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has inaugurated a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to review the sale, lease, and management of government-owned assets, companies, markets, and inactive industries across the state.
The panel is headed by retired Justice Samson Itodo, who took the oath of office at the Extension Hall, Government House, Makurdi.
The inauguration ceremony also featured the swearing-in of the Governor’s new Chief of Staff, Barrister Moses Atagher.
Governor Alia emphasized the need for accountability and fairness, urging Justice Itodo to carry out the assignment with courage and integrity.
“This responsibility demands firmness, honesty, and a commitment to justice in the overall interest of the people of Benue,” the governor stated.
In his response, Justice Itodo pledged to approach the task with the same dedication he displayed in a similar role earlier this year, assuring that the panel would discharge its mandate diligently and transparently.
