The crisis rocking Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, took another turn on Wednesday as posters demanding the immediate resignation of the party’s embattled chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, are seen being posted everywhere including the party’s headquarters office, Wadata Plaza
According to posters powered by Concerned PDP League and seen by truthlive.net correspondent, the alleged reasons for the development were that the party under the leadership of Sen. Iyorchia Ayu gave the party’s tickets to the highest bidders and that there is an ongoing expulsion that may cost PDP exclusion from the 2023 polls.
Other reasons include the hijacking of the Ward Congress Committee (assignment) list, manipulation of the national and state delegate lists, and the use of non-party members for PDP official assignments.
The group also expressed concern about the unjust disqualification of qualified aspirants and the qualification of unqualified aspirants in some states across the country.
He was also accused of being partial during the presidential primary where he openly supported one of the aspirants, Atiku Abubakar to win while going as far as open to celebrate the victory with other collaborators like Tambuwal without being sensitive about the feelings of others who didn’t win.
