The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has handed Nigeria a major boost in their qualifying campaign for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Truth Live News confirmed that CAF has awarded Nigeria three points and three goals after Libya was found guilty of maltreatment the Nigerian team ahead of their returning leg fixture against the Super Eagles.
The disciplinary committee of CAF announced the decision on Saturda, stating that Libya violated eligibility rules. Consequently, Libya has been slapped with a $50,000 fine.
