A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to provide the certified true copy (CTC) of David Ukpo’s biodata.
The High Court Judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo, who gave the order in a judgement delivered on Friday, directed the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and two commercial banks to release David Ukpo’s details in their possession to Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beautrice.
This followed an originating summon filed by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Adegboyega Awomolo on behalf of the ex-senator and his wife.
Recall that, the London Metropolitan Police arrested and charged Ike Ekweremadu and his wife to court for allegedly bringing a child, Ukpo to the UK for organ harvesting.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria claims that the alleged victim is 21years as opposed to the claims of London Metropolitan Police who stated the victim’s age as 15years, and in a bid to clear his client of the allegations, Awomolo approached the court seeking an order directing the NIMC to produce the Certified True Copy of the biodata of David Ukpo Nwamini.
The SAN had also prayed the court for an order directing Stanbic IBTC Bank and UBA to provide the Certified True Copy of Nwamini’s mandate card and account opening package in their possession.
