The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has rescinded the invitation that was previously issued to the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi Muhammad II.
The police chief instructed the Kano State command to gather the monarch’s statement concerning the incident within the State.
Egbetokun issued the order via the police spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stating that the withdrawal was necessary due to the involvement of certain key figures in the nation.
