BREAKING: National Assembly Delays Debate On Tinubu’s State Of Emergency Request

NIGERIA, ABUJA – The House of Representatives and the Senate have adjourned till tomorrow without discussing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s request for the approval of a State of Emergency in Rivers State.

According to Truth Live News the debate is expected to take place tomorrow.

 The media reports that if the request is to be approved, lawmakers must deliberate and reach a decision within two days, as required by the Constitution, as long as they are in session.

It confirms that being in session means the National Assembly is not on any official recess, that is, tomorrow is the final window for debate and decision on the matter.
