The Supreme Court has confirmed H E Sheriff Oborevwere of PDP as the Governor of Delta state. The petition filed by Omo-Agege of the APC has been dismissed for lacking merit, with the court citing the appellant’s inability to prove over-voting and noncompliance with electoral laws.
Truth Live News gathered that the justices, pressed for time due to pending appeals from other states, issued a summary judgment. The court is now poised to deliver judgments on cases involving the Social Democratic Party (PDP) versus People Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) versus PDP in Delta.
Additionally, the SDP candidate’s appeal against Governor Oborevwori has been unanimously dismissed for lack of merit, with no costs awarded. All three political parties, APC, SDP, and LP, along with their candidates, continue to contest the declaration of Sheriff Oborevwori as the elected Governor of Delta State.
