Ruth Otabor, the younger sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has died, weeks after surviving a ghastly accident involving a truck linked to the Dangote Group near Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State.
Ruth, who had undergone a leg amputation as a result of the crash, was confirmed dead on Sunday morning at about 6:30 a.m. Her family announced the sad development in a statement issued through Eko Solicitors & Advocates, noting with a heavy heart that their daughter, sister, and mother had “passed on to glory.” They further appealed for privacy during this painful moment, adding that funeral details would be communicated in due course.
Truth Live News learnt from Punch that representatives of the Dangote Group collected Ruth’s remains from the hospital where she died and moved them to the mortuary. A family source disclosed that the group’s officials were immediately contacted after her passing.
