A suspected bomb explosion has struck Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, leaving several people feared dead and others injured.
Truth Live News International learnt from The Cable that, the blast affected multiple residents, including a driver identified as Zuberu. A woman who sustained injuries has reportedly been rushed to Ilorin for urgent medical treatment on the directive of local authorities.
As of the time of reporting, the Kwara State Police Command had not issued an official statement, and attempts to reach its spokesperson were unsuccessful.
While no group has claimed responsibility, residents suspect the involvement of Boko Haram, raising fresh concerns over security in the region.
The incident comes just weeks after a deadly attack in the same area, where dozens of residents were killed and properties destroyed during a raid on Woro and nearby communities.
In response to the earlier violence, Bola Tinubu had ordered the deployment of military personnel to strengthen security in the area.
The latest explosion has further heightened fears among residents, as authorities are yet to confirm the exact cause and casualty figures.
