There was palpable tension at the Edo State House of Assembly following the inability of Governor Monday Okpebholo to read the 2025 budget estimate.
The Governor who had arrived at the Assembly at about 11.20 am, was thereafter ushered in to present the budget estimate to members of the Assembly for consideration and approval.
The drama ensued at the beginiing of the budget presentation when he found it difficult to call the figures of the budget size.
The embattled Governor stumbled severally when he pronounced 605 million, 776 million, sorry, 605 billion, 776 million etc…
At that point, the Speaker of the Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, had to ask the fumbling Governor to present the budget paper to him, take a bow and leave.
