The Supreme Court has affirmed Alex Otti as the governor of Abia State.
The Supreme court affirmed Otti as the duly elected candidate in the March 18th, 2024, gubernatorial election.
The apex court upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal and the State Election Tribunal which dismissed a petition by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Okey Ahiwe, seeking to nullify the election of Labour Party’s Alex Otti as Abia State Governor.
Truth Live News had earlier reported that the PDP flagbearer alleged that Otti was unqualified to contest the polls on the basis of forged academic credentials.
