Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, on Saturday paid a solemn condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, at his Abuja residence following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
Governor Radda, who arrived at the residence in the company of close aides, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing the late matriarch as a pillar of strength whose values and upbringing greatly shaped the life and leadership of her son.
In a brief interaction with journalists, Radda extended his heartfelt sympathies to the El-Rufai family, noting that the death of a mother is a profound loss that leaves an irreplaceable void
“We are here to share in this moment of grief with our brother, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. Losing a mother is never easy, no matter one’s age or status. We pray Almighty Allah grants her Aljannah Firdaus and gives the family the strength to bear this loss,” he said.
The Katsina governor further prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, urging family members to take solace in the impactful life she lived and the legacy she left behind.
Responding, El-Rufai expressed appreciation to Governor Radda for the visit and show of solidarity, noting that such gestures provide comfort during moments of grief.
