Edo State Police Command has paraded 46 persons for cult related activities in the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor while briefing newsmen in Benin City, said worried by the recent ugly incident of cult related killings in the state, the operatives of the command have swung into action and have made tremendous progress by arresting such a large number of them.
He said the suspects were arrested at various locations in the state
SP Nwabuzor said the suspects have admitted to have belonged to one cult group or the other.
Nwabuzor said the suspects would be charged to court accordingly.
He however urged citizens of the state to assist the police to get rid of crime and criminality just as he tasked them to furniture the police with useful information that could help them nip crime in the bud.
He also urged criminal elements to turn a new leaf or be prepared to relocate from the state.
